Chevron’s Inevitability

Event Description

Deadline to Register: May 14, 2017

Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc. established rules for judicial review of agency interpretations of statutes. The Supreme Court held that courts should defer to agency interpretations of such statutes unless they are unreasonable. Professor Hickman will review the doctrine of administrative deference as articulated in Chevron and give an update on recent developments around the doctrine.
