With more of the baby boom generation heading into retirement the issue of
spousal maintenance modification is being more heavily litigated and
negotiated. This issue will only become more prevalent as retirements
become more common place and spousal maintenance obligors seek to reduce or
terminate their maintenance obligations. This CLE will discuss the case
law as it presently exists for seeking a modification when there is a retirement
and some ideas for how the issue could be better addressed in the
future.
The Family Law Section membership will
meet prior to the CLE at 9:30 a.m.
