Deadline to Register: March 6, 2016
Circumstances under which the FAA has
been issuing exemptions for commercial unmanned aircraft system flights will be
considered, as well as new registration requirements affecting some drones used
recreationally. In addition to aviation law, drone use also raises some significant questions in tort law, real property law,
and even copyright law.
The Computer and Technology Section Council will meet at 11:30 a.m.
followed by lunch and the CLE at Noon.
Presenter:
Chris Evans is a patent attorney with Beck Tysver Evans,
chairs the Intellectual Property Committee of the MSBA’s Computer and Technology
Law Section, and is a former Section chairperson. Chris is a graduate of the
University of Texas School of Law. His Ph.D. research at Florida State
University and the National Center for Atmospheric Research used computer
simulations to study geophysical fluid dynamics.
