Event Description
Deadline to Register: Tuesday, April 12, 2016
Hospitals and health
systems across the country are actively working to transform themselves into
patient-centered, value-focused and integrated providers that are recognized as
market leaders in quality outcomes, cost control and patient experience.
Critical to this effort is medical staff management that is efficient,
streamlined, and receptive to clinical and administrative initiatives that
strengthen health care operations and overall performance. But an
unavoidable challenge for health care organizations is the need to balance
efficiency and innovation with existing regulatory requirements and other risk
considerations. In this context, this program will cover the “what you
need to know” for several pressing medical staff issues in 2016. The
discussion will include analysis and
best practices related to:
-
Peer review information
sharing across providers and health systems
-
Credentialing (how to mitigate negligent
credentialing risk)
-
Dispute Resolution/Fair Hearings
-
Dual existence of employed physicians and
medical staff members
Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by
the program from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Special meal requests need to be
received no later than Tuesday, April 12.
