Join us for a lively discussion by experienced employment
law advocates and mediators on how to work with clients before and during a
mediation to ensure that client's needs and expectations are addressed to
have the best chance for mediation success. Topics will include a
discussion of the use of joint or separate sessions, how best to open the
mediation session, how much the client should talk, how to help the client plan for and move through
the negotiation phase, and mediator techniques that help clients move past
impasse.
This program is co-sponsored by the ADR and Labor &
Employment Law Sections. Prior to the CLE, the ADR
Section will hold a section business meeting at Noon followed by the CLE
presentation from 12:15-1:15 p.m.
Lunch is not provided but please feel free to bring your own! Soft drinks and bottled
water will be provided.
